Last weekend was our May 22-23, 2010 Run to Lake Pillsbury/Hull Mountain. Chris and Cameron Carlotti and Paul and Matthew Adams met in Rio Dell on a wet Saturday morning. It rained most of the way to the our campsite at Fuller Grove on Lake Pillsbury. We set up camp an met Mike Woll a longtime member of Mendocino 4x4 in Ukiah. This area is Mike's backyard and was extremely familiar with the area. We followed Mike and met up with the group that sponsored the cleanup. There were a dozen people including a Toyota Tacoma group (http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/northern-california/94489-hull-mountain-clean-up-pictures.html)  We broke into groups with our gang heading up to the top of Hull Mountain to cleanup part of an abandoned trailer. As we started to pick up debris it started to briskly snow. After we filled the trailer we continued on to the top and met back up with Mike and his two passengers. We decided to go until the snow drifts stopped us. We made it to 6116 feet before the drifts were too large. Heading back down the mountain we met up with the entire group and called the day a success, We filled a 10ft and 16ft trailer full. Joe and Mark had put on a successful cleanup. They have a bog on Pirate.com/Northern California.

Mike was generous and led us around the mountain on trails until late in the afternoon. It had just finished down pouring rain at camp when we arrived.

We cleaned up, fixed dinner and then a nice fire. The rainy weather had passed and we were greeted to a sunny drive home on Sunday.

There is much more to explore in this beautiful area. We were pleased with the cleanup and the contacts we had made Below are a few photos of the run.
